We are so American right now

We have been having fun being tourists and enjoying our break before work and Dave's internship starts! On Friday we went to the Capitol building and the Library of Congress. Dave has been wanting to see these sites since day one and we finally went. It was the best! We were so proud to be Americans after watchinsg a video in the Capital and then had a great time on the tour. I learned so many things..did you know that the bottom of the Capitol building to the top of the statue Freedom, on top, is bigger than the Statue of Liberty?

The Library of Congress was such a pretty building...they all really were though... We wanted to go and read all of the books and search but we could only look at the actual library through a massive piece of glass.
Me with the Brgham Young statue!

Dave with George Washington...one of his favorite people!

Dave's former mission companion, Chiris Toyn, and his wife were in town for vacation and we were able to hang out with them for an afternoon!

Was that really a statue of Brigham Young? Why was he there in Washington D.C.? Interesting,....
I'd love to see all those places. Maybe some day but I sure do like to see the photos and know that these places are really real!
